TV 2 nite!

What’s on TV: Monday
–So who do you think looks more desperate? The producers of Boston Public (Fox, tonight, 8 ET/PT), who have gone to ever more preposterous lengths to draw attention to their show, culminating this week in a prom performance by Whitney Houston? Or Houston herself, who struggles stiffly through a plot that makes it look like a prom is the best gig she can get? The shame is, Boston was once a promising drama, and it’s just this sort of stunt that destroyed it.
–Behind the Camera: The Unauthorized Story of Three’s Company (NBC, 9 p.m. ET/PT) would have you believe the once-popular ABC comedy was destroyed by its misbehaving stars. Could that have all been a misunderstanding?
–If you enjoyed last season’s miniseries Rose Red, you may be interested in the prequel, The Diary of Ellen Rimbauer (ABC, 9 p.m. ET/PT). I didn’t, and I’m not.
–AMC celebrates the rise of female Hollywood executives with Women on Top: Hollywood and Power (10 p.m. ET/PT), narrated by Chloe Sevigny. Among those interviewed are Nicole Kidman, Halle Berry and Sandra Bullock.
–And the NHL Playoffs continue with Anaheim in Minnesota (8 p.m. ET) for Game Two of the conference finals.
