Producer Dean Devlin has announced that he and director Roland Emmerich are working on a sequel to INDEPENDENCE DAY. “Roland and I are writing it, so hopefully it’ll come out good,” Devlin said. “If not, we’ll bury it.” About the chance to get the original cast back, Devlin said, “I think if we had a good script, everyone would want to come back. If the script’s not good, then they’ll probably tell us to go our own way.”
