Charlize Theron Becomes a Serial Killer
Charlize Theron has agreed to star in the indie film MONSTER for MDP Worldwide and director Patty Jenkins.
Theron will play Aileen Wuornos, the nation’s first female serial killer that is scheduled to be executed in Florida today. Jenkins will direct from a script she wrote herself about Wuornos’ troubled childhood to becoming a prostitute at 14.
Wuornos was a prostitute for 20 years until she murdered for the first time in 1989. She then went on to kill six more men over seven months. During her 1992 trial, Wuornos claimed that she was innocent because all of the deaths were a result of self defense.
