Two “Classics” Set To Bow On Disc

‘MAD MAX’ & ‘BUCKAROO BANZAI’ Coming To DVD

MGM Home Entertainment has scheduled a January 4th release for the DVD debuts of MAD MAX and THE ADVENTURES OF BUCKAROO BANZAI. Both are getting the Special Edition treatment — MAD MAX includes over two hours of bonus material including a documentary and audio commentary, and even features Mel Gibson’s original audio track instead of the dubbed American version we’ve been stuck with all these years…

BUCKAROO BANZAI includes a rare prologue sequence starring Jamie Lee Curtis, never-before-seen deleted scenes restored with director’s commentary, and a “making of” documentary with stars Peter Weller, John Lithgow, Jeff Goldblum, Ellen Barkin, and Christopher Lloyd. It’s also the first MGM release to include NOUN-enhanced interactive technology, allowing viewers extras like behind-the-scene facts, and a Gamma Zoom Composer feature enabling you to view pre-selected close-up zooms of interesting scene elements.

Gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme…

Dead? Or Alive?

“BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER” Premieres Tonight On UPN

BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER makes its UPN premiere tonight with a two-hour episode starting at 8 pm Eastern. As you may recall, BUFFY died in the show’s WB series finale last May, so the big question is just how she’ll be brought back to life. The episode finds her friends trying to defend Sunnydale without her help, and had Giles so racked with guilt that he starts to contemplate returning home to England.

Oooooohhh……..
