‘Conan’ officially welcomes Andy Richter back for new TBS talk show
It’s not like anyone had any doubts, right? At any rate, it’s official: Andy Richter will be hitting the couch once again on Conan O’Brien’s new TBS talk show, “Conan.”
“I’m thrilled to be going back to work with Conan,” Richter says. “And very excited to start a whole new venture on TBS. However, I am mostly looking forward to getting out of the house again.”
The actor and writer joined O’Brien for late-night tomfoolery in 1993 and he has been warming the cushions ever since as they rode the NBC talk show rollercoaster together. He has also appeared in several films and TV shows, including “Scary Movie 2,” “Talladega Nights,” his own FOX show, “Andy Richter Controls the Universe,” and NBC’s “Andy Barker, P.I.”
Conan is apparently very excited to spark up the bromance again. “This decision was made without my authority,” he says. “I will get to the bottom of this.”
Aw, that’s sweet. Welcome back, Andy!
