Beyonce Readies ‘Dangerous’ Solo Debut
NEW YORK (Billboard) – Destiny’s Child frontwoman Beyonce Knowles has set a July 8 release date for her long-awaited Columbia solo debut album, ‘Dangerously in Love.’

Other contributors to ‘Dangerously in Love’ include Mark Batson, Mario Winans, D-Roy & Mr. B, Rich Harrison, Fanatic, and Scott Storch. Vandross lends his pipes to the duet ‘Closer I Get to You.’ The same cut will appear on Vandross’ forthcoming album ‘Dance with My Father,’ set for a June 10 release on J Records.
Knowles is planning a world tour in support of ‘Dangerously in Love,’ and she has also set a bevy of television appearances for the coming months. She will debut the set’s first single from the set — ‘Crazy In Love’ featuring Jay-Z — May 17 as a musical guest on ‘Saturday Night Live.’ Other planned TV appearances include CBS’ ‘The Late Show with David Letterman’ on June 14, NBC’s ‘Today’ outdoor concert series on June 27, the CBS ‘Early Show’ on July 8, and ABC’s ‘The View’ on July 9.
The artist will also be the subject of a pay-per-view TV special, ‘Ford Presents Beyonce Knowles, Friends & Family, Live From Ford’s 100th Anniversary Celebration in Dearborn, Michigan,’ set to air June 14. Knowles will be joined for the special by her Destiny’s Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, her sister Solange Knowles, and other musical guests.
Knowles will take part in the May 22 ‘VH1 Divas Duets’ special, broadcast live from Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena. She’ll join Celine Dion, Lisa Marie Presley, Whitney Houston, Mary J. Blige, Jewel, Chaka Khan, and host Queen Latifah.
