Survey Says: Ralph Fiennes for Next James Bond
HOLLYWOOD (Zap2it.com) – Ralph Fiennes (“Maid in Manhattan”) has been voted by film fans as their favorite to be the next James Bond. The British actor beat out George Clooney (“Confessions of a Dangerous Mind”) who came in second.
In a survey of 1,000 people conducted by Amazon.com to celebrate the forthcoming DVD and video release of the latest Bond film “Die Another Day,” 24 percent thought Fiennes would make the perfect replacement for current Bond Pierce Brosnan.
Third place was shared by Colin Firth (“What a Girl Wants”) and Clive Owen (“Bourne Identity”), with pop singer Robbie Williams coming in fourth.
Hollywood heavyweights Leonardo DiCaprio (“Gangs of New York”), Ben Affleck (“Daredevil”) and Russell Crowe (“Beautiful Mind”) got only 10 percent of the vote between them, while Hugh Grant (“Two Weeks Notice”), Jude Law (“Cold Mountain”) and Ewan McGregor (“Moulin Rouge”) were all missing from the list.
