Columbia Wants More MIB
According to producer Walter Parkes, Columbia Pictures is hankering for a MEN IN BLACK III. Says Parkes, “The studio wants one. We’re trying to figure out the auspices of it and what to do to freshen that franchise up a little bit.” Parkes also says he was rather disenchanted with the sequel, “It was a heartbreaking thing. There were many disagreements among the different principals, and what came out was not a movie worthy of the franchise.” It is clear that Barry Sonnenfeld will not direct the third, as he did the first two; another director will be chosen.
