BNL Stuffs DVD Full Of Videos, Live Clips
Barenaked Ladies have assembled 17 music videos, concert clips, interviews, and other goodies on a self-titled DVD release, due Nov. 5 from Warner Bros. The videos range from the early favorites “Brian Wilson” and “Be My Yoko Ono” up through more recent fare such as “Falling for the First Time” and “Pinch Me.” The release complements last year’s “Disc One: All Their Greatest Hits [1991-2001].”
“Barenaked Ladies” is augmented with video of seven tracks from last November’s pay-per-view concert at New York’s Roseland Ballroom, including “One Week,” “Too Little Too Late,” and “Lovers in a Dangerous Time.” The DVD, which runs nearly two hours and 40 minutes, also sports a band commentary track and a feature enabling fans to sing karaoke to “One Week.”
“In some ways it feels like nothing, because so much of the high-profile stuff has only been in the last three years,” singer/guitarist Steven Page said. “So, it’s nice for us to be able to say, ‘Okay, in some ways the grunt work is behind us,’ but at the same time, it’s like we spent a lot of time working on that.”
