If the CD is half as good as the actual concert, then it is a must have!

Paul McCartney Prepping Is Live Release
As first tipped here in July, Paul McCartney will give fans an up-close look at his life both on and off the stage with the Nov. 26 release of a CD and DVD, “Back in the U.S.” The album will span two discs, with a tracklist to be announced. The three-hour DVD follows McCartney from the stage to such previously off-limits locales as his jet, dressing room, and the back seat of a limo.
Producer/engineer Michael Brauer told Billboard that his objective was to put the listener 10 to 15 rows from the stage. Along with replicating the concert experience, mixing decisions for the CD and DVD were made in no small part by the songs as originally recorded by the Beatles. “I grew up with these songs, and I want to maintain their integrity,” Brauer said. “[Producer] David [Kahne] also makes sure that the spirit of the song is again brought out. And Paul is here to listen to it. I’ve got all the original songs from the show on my iPod, so I’ll listen to it, asking myself, ‘What were the elements that made it so cool?’ A classic is a classic — you don’t want to mess with it.”
