GOOD NEWS FOR FANS OF THE CURRENT KING OF LATE NIGHT TELEVISION
Back in the early 80’s when he wanted a new contract with NBC David Letterman signed a contract with Disney to make movies. Eventually NBC gave him a new deal and Dave gave Disney the money back without ever making a film.
In the year 2002 when he wanted a new contract with CBS Dave began talking with Disney owned ABC about moving his talk show to the Alphabet network.
Disney is now 0 for 2 as David Letterman has decided to stay with CBS.
There will be many ramifications of Disney’s actions this time as they have alienated some of their most popular on- air personalities, specifically Ted Koppel, Diane Sawyer and Sam Donaldson, among others.
But the good news is Dave is staying at CBS!
