Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back with a loaded DVD
After weeks of speculation comes the official release of Kevin Smith’s newest entry, official confirmation has come in on the self-referential comedy Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. Coming from Dimension Home Video later this winter.
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back is a tale of adventure on the open road. The punchy Jay and his hetero life-mate, Silent Bob find new purpose when informed a movie is being made based on their likeness. They set out to get the “fat movie cash” they deserve and along the way, they learn the rules of the road, ride with a group of gorgeous jewel thieves and incur the wrath of a hapless wildlife marshal.
An anamorphic widescreen transfer and Dolby Digital 5.1 audio track will grace the DVD as will an audio commentary, extended and deleted footage, featurettes, music videos, television spots, theatrical trailers and an episode of Comedy Central’s promotional program Reel Comedy. Some DVD-ROM content will also be present on the disc. Coming on February 26th, the fifth installment of the Jersey “trilogy” will carry a suggested retail price of $29.99.
