R.E.M. have announced a new version of the song “All The Right Friends,” which they wrote somewhere between 1979 – 1981, will appear on the soundtrack to Cameron Crowe’s VANILLA SKY. The band are also contributing the “Automatic For The People” track “Sweetness Follows,” to the album, which features tracks from RADIOHEAD, Peter Gabriel, Jeff Buckley, Bob Dylan, and others.
R.E.M. also voice themselves on a new episode of FOX’s THE SIMPSONS this Sunday night at 8. They appear at a hip new nightclub Moe opens after Homer is left in control of his bar and thrashes the place.
