Couple to wed wearing Duck Tape
Imagine donning duct tape on your wedding day.
That’s what Kevin Thomas and Joyce Lotta will be wearing when they get married on September 29 at Universal Studios. The couple had the winning entry in the “Stuck on You” contest sponsored by the makers of Duck brand tape.
Fashion designer Brian McKinney created a bridal gown and tuxedo jacket for the couple to wear. The pastor’s stole, bride and bridesmaid’s bouquets, wedding cake and other floral arrangements and decorations will also be made of Duck Tape.
A majority of the 75 wedding guests will fly in for the event, many traveling from New York. After the September 11 terrorist attacks on New York and Washington, Thomas and Lotta considered postponing their wedding. But some of Lotta’s relatives — including Sal D’Agostino, a New York City firefighter who survived the collapse of the World Trade Center — urged the couple to keep their wedding date.
