The 3-disc set includes the 13 episodes from the first season, and while Matt Groening’s show has come a long, long way in the 12 seasons since, everything looks and sounds so good, you’d swear they’re new episodes.

– FOX releases a 30th Anniversary 5-STAR COLLECTION edition of THE FRENCH CONNECTION this week, with deleted scenes, new documentaries, audio commentary from William Friedkin, Gene Hackman, and Roy Scheider, and more.
– Based on the Japanese comic book, X is a post-apocalyptic sci-fi adventure about a young man with near limitless power, who returns to Tokyo to protect his childhood friends, and unknowingly sparks a war between two opposing mystical factions.
– RHINO Home Video releases a digitally-remastered version of the cult classic QUADROPHENIA this week. The DVD is loaded with extras including audio commentary from director Franc Roddam, the film’s original theatrical trailer, a special VESPA trailer featuring classic commercials, a Trivia Track with Cockney-to-English subtitles, a WHO discography, and more. The coming-of-age drama, based on the WHO’s 1973 album, involves a group of scooter-riding, pill-popping Mods and their war against the Rockers in defense of their lifestyle and identity.
