The Score Gets A Release Date
Three generations of powerhouse performers gather together for the first time under the direction of Frank Oz in the tension-filled crime drama The Score. The thriller, starring Marlon Brando, Robert De Niro, and Edward Norton is coming to DVD from Paramount Home Entertainment this winter. Nick Wells, a professional criminal, cuts things a little too close when he last job nearly ended in disaster. His decicion to retire to his Montreal jazz club is interrupted all to soon when his partner Max shows up with an offer too hard to pass up. A historical and priceless French sceptre has been discovered while being smuggled into the country. It will only be in the country for a matter of days before being returned to France, and only Nick can lift it. The only catch is that he must work with the young inside man Jackie Teller. With this much money on the line, who can trust who?
The DVD will feature an anamorphic widescreen transfer, a Dolby Digital 5.1 surround track and an audio commentary by director of photography Rob Hahn and director Frank Oz discussing his first dramatic feature. Extras include a behind-the-scenes featurette, “Making The Score”, additional footage and the original theatrical trailer. The new DVD will appear on shelves on December 11th, 2001.
