This Story Will Make You Think A Bit. Are You ready?
So far this year we have been enjoying films that aren’t grounded in reality. Call it a “comic book Summer,” if you will.
But all that will change in a few weeks when “The Sum Of All Fears” hits theatres.
With new warnings rekindling public jitters, moviegoers may not be up to watching a disturbingly realistic portrayal of a terrorist attack on U.S. soil. Is it too soon?

A Gay Anakin?
Star Wars actor Hayden Christensen has lost himself a potentially devoted fanbase by laughing off suggestions that he’s gay.
A leading American gay magazine declared Christensen to be “definitely gay”, and Hayden’s more amused than annoyed at the speculation.
He says, “It’s hilarious. I’m not gay. It’s amazing how much people will speculate if they haven’t actual information to draw from, they just make up whatever they feel is appropriate. “That’s cool. As long as the people I know and care about know the truth then everyone else’s opinion doesn’t really matter.”
Cast and crew on the set of the upcoming Attack Of The Clones film know where the 20-year-old’s tastes lie – he often forced extra takes of his kissing scenes with stunning co-star Natalie Portman by turning to the camera grinning and flashing a thumbs-up. He laughs, “They would be like, ‘You have to stop doing that Hayden! Now we have to do the whole scene again.’ I’d be like, ‘Fine’.”
COOL!
Producer Dean Devlin told SCI FI Wire that he and partner Roland Emmerich are gearing up to make a sequel to their blockbuster 1996 hit film Independence Day. “Roland and I, we’re back to work on doing a sequel to Independence Day,” Devlin said in an interview. “I think we finally found a story that we wanted to tell.” Devlin and Emmerich wrote and produced the original film, which Emmerich directed. ID4 is the 11th highest-grossing domestic release of all time, with more than $300 million at the North American box office.
Devlin added that he hopes to assemble as many of the original cast members as possible. “I like to think that hit movies are like a cocktail, you know?” he said. “You want to try to get all the ingredients back together again and try to get the same mix. But we’ll see. We’ll see what we can get back. We’ll try to get everyone. We’ll just have to see how it plays out.” The original film’s cast included Will Smith, Bill Pullman, Jeff Goldblum, Judd Hirsch and Margaret Colin. As for the sequel’s story? “I can’t tell you that,” Devlin said with a laugh.
“Then there’s another science fiction film that Roland and I are working on, called The Hunt,” Devlin added. “So hopefully both of those will get started within the next year.”
I guess Stephanie will be happy!
