Rapper Eminem Trades In Purple Car
Some Eminem fans may soon be able to take a ride in the Detroit-area rapper’s old car.
A purple Ford Mustang that once belonged to Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, was traded in last week at Russ Milne Ford.
Eminem’s uncle brought the car for a trade-in last week, while the rapper was outside, “kind of acting incognito,” Russ Milne general manager Keith Batko said. “One of our workers recognized him.”
The car, custom-painted purple and featuring a tan leather interior and convertible cover, can be viewed at the suburban Detroit dealership while its future is decided. It has 13,000 miles, although a $7,000 stereo system and Cobra tires were removed from it before the trade, the dealership said.
Russ Milne said it is considering selling the car and donating the proceeds to charity.

Jagger to Be Knighted By Queen
Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger is to be knighted by Queen Elizabeth II for his service to music, newspapers reported Sunday.
The aging rock star will receive the title Sir Mick in the queen’s birthday honors next weekend, The Sunday Times said.
The Independent on Sunday said Jagger, who once outraged the British establishment with his hedonistic lifestyle, had been nominated by Prime Minister Tony Blair, who is a fan of the band.
Blair’s Downing Street office and Buckingham Palace declined to comment on the reports Sunday.
Jagger would be the latest in a line of pop stars to receive the royal honor. Sir Elton John was knighted in 1997, and Sir Paul McCartney was knighted in 1996 for his contribution to British music and society, including the charitable and educational causes he supports.

Sweet Ass Jennifer Lopex Splits With Hubby Number 2
Jennifer Lopez and her dancer-husband, Cris Judd, have separated, a source confirmed to The Associated Press on Friday. The source said the pair parted amicably and have no immediate plans for divorce.
A spokesman for Lopez declined to confirm or deny the split.
The 31-year-old actress-singer married Judd, 32, in a private ceremony in Calabasas, Calif. The Sept. 29 nuptials came just months after she broke up with hip-hop mogul Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, with whom she had a highly publicized romance.
Judd appeared prominently as a background dancer in the video for her hit “Love Don’t Cost a Thing,” but in recent months has become more active in her career.
He directed the video for the Ja Rule remix of her song “Ain’t It Funny,” and choreographed her recent NBC concert special.
He and Lopez also co-wrote the song “Alive” from her thriller “Enough,” in theaters now.
Lopez married model Ojani Noa in 1997 and divorced him the following year.

The bust stems from a videotape Kelly allegedly made of himself having sex with an underage girl.

REALITY STILL BITES
A Los Angeles judge has ordered Winona Ryder to stand trial on charges stemming from her alleged shoplifting incident at the Beverly Hills Saks Fifth Avenue. The ruling came after testimony from Saks security staffers who say they witnessed the actress trying to take about $6,000 in merchandise. Ryder is due back in court June 14 for arraignment.

Ramones founder Dee Dee Ramone found dead.
Dee Dee Ramone, a founding member of the pioneer punk band the Ramones, was found dead of a possible drug overdose in his Hollywood home, the coroner’s office said Thursday. He was 50.

CAUGHT ON TAPE
R&B star R. Kelly, he of the hit song “I Believe I Can Fly,” was arrested in Florida Wednesday hours after a Chicago grand jury indicted him on 21 charges of child pornography stemming from a videotape he allegedly made showing him having sex with an underage girl. The charges carry a prison term of up to 15 years and a fine of up to $100,000, if convicted.
