Homer Would Drink 500 Beers
Animated couch potato HOMER SIMPSON is set to sing his own version of THE PROCLAIMERS’ hit single 500 MILES. But instead of travelling a distance for a loved one, Homer will sing about 500 BEERS, if American television bosses and the band’s management can reach a deal. A friend of the band says, “They’ve had a few celebrity fans down through the years, but Homer is king. As far as big name endorsements go, you can’t top it.”
The record labels are banking on Best- Of albums this holiday season. So support them! Buy the Barenaked Ladies Best- Of! It;s awesome!

These are the new DVD and Video releases for Tuesday, November 27th, 2001
WILLOW (VHS & DVD)- Director Ron Howard and producer George Lucas, have THX digitally-remastered this movie for superior sound and picture quality for this new special edition release. The DVD is worth picking up if only for full-length audio commentary from Warwick Davis, but its also loaded with a few featurettes and a handful of TV spots and trailers.
MADE (VHSr & DVD)- The Special Edition DVD of Jon Favreau & Vince Vaughn’s MADE continues the trend. The disc offers commentary from Vaughn and writer-director Favreau, as well as deleted scenes & outtakes, 3 documentaries, a scene edit workshop, and a hilarious illustrated action commentary.
I SPY: THE ROBERT CULP COLLECTION, Vol. 1 & 2 (DVD)- The two volumes of I SPY episodes feature the final 7 episodes of the 82-episode series. Star Robert Culp wrote and/or directed all the episodes, and the discs include his audio commentary, and photos and original artwork from his personal collection of show memorabilia.
