Manhunter Was Great! Why Bother Remaking It?

They are going to re- make the movie "Red Dragon", where we meet Hannibal Lector for the first time, whether we want them to or not. So I say why not have a great cast? It now looks as if Ralph Fiennes may join the cast. Bully for him!

Britney Spears, apparently getting more serious about her big-screen career, signing with agency ICM and creating her own yet-to-be-titled production company. According to the Hollywood Reporter, she's also in final negotiations with screenwriter James V. Hart (Contact) to write a film for her to star in. Britney's big-screen debut is the coming-of-age flick Crossroads, due out in February.

Former Noxema spokesperson and Beverly Hills, 90210 costar Rebecca Gayheart pleading no contest Tuesday to a misdemeanor charge of vehicular manslaughter, following a June accident in which her car struck and killed a nine-year-old boy. Gayheart was sentenced to three years' probation and 750 hours of community service, and her driver's license was suspended for a year.
