Do one more! Do one more!! Do one more!!!

Robert Downey Jr. on Iron Man 4 possibility: ‘I could probably do one more’

Robert Downey Jr. is changing his tune after telling USA Today in March that another Iron Man film “isn’t in the cards.”

The actor told ABC’s Nightline during a Captain America: Civil War set visit that another Iron Man film is not entirely off the table. “I feel like I could do one more,” he said.

Downey appears in Civil War as Tony Stark, who he’s now played for nearly a decade (the first film in Marvel’s Iron Man series was released in 2008). Combined, the three Iron Man films have grossed $2.4 billion worldwide.

Civil War star Chris Evans also told Nightline that Downey’s portrayal of Stark in the upcoming film is darker than what fans are used to. “[Stark has] always danced to the beat of his own drum [and he’s] feeling a little bit of guilt of the actions the Avengers have taken, and the collateral damage we have caused, where he feels responsible,” he said.

Captain America: Civil War opens in theaters on May 6th.
