Paul McCartney Filming Tour For DVD Release
Paul McCartney’s Driving USA tour is being filmed for a forthcoming DVD/home video release, he says.
“We’re just starting to think of what we might do, but a few people have requested that we kind of get it down, the show, and the tour is going so well that we’re starting to think that it’s nice to capture it,” he says.
McCartney played two sold-out shows at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Friday (April 26) and Saturday (April 27) as part of his Driving USA tour. Before the start of Friday’s show, McCartney spoke to reporters backstage. The press conference at the Garden was filmed for possible inclusion in a documentary of the tour. McCartney didn’t give any indication on when he thought the Driving USA project would be released.
McCartney’s next tour date is Wednesday (May 1) at the Palace at Auburn Hills just outside Detroit. The tour closes May 18 with the second of two dates in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
McCartney is scheduled to appear on the Tonight Show With Jay Leno on Friday (May 3). He’ll perform and also have a sit-down with the host.
